Anemia:

You were found to have a condition called anemia during your hospitalization. Anemia has many different causes, but is most often related to intraoperative blood loss. Symptoms may include: feeling tired or weak, difficulty in breathing, feeling dizzy, and inability to concentrate.  You may increase your iron intake by eating iron-rich foods or by taking an iron supplement under the guidance of your primary care physician. Please discuss this with your primary care provider. If you become light headed or faint, feel short of breath or develop chest pain please present to the nearest emergency department immediately for evaluation.
