Repeat Customer

Question:   A 24 year old male develops left sided throat pain of 5 days duration.  Examination reveals asymmetry of the tonsillar pillars without uvular deviation, and an erythematous, cryptic left tonsil.  Needle aspiration of the peritonsillar space yields purulence.  On further questioning you discover that he has had two previous episodes.  What is the next step in management?   [Answer will be posted with next week's new question]
